AN INTRODUCTION TO HENDERSON RMD

Henderson RMD was originally P.C. Henderson (Australia) Pty Limited, a subsidiary of P.C. Henderson Limited.

P.C. Henderson Limited in England has long been acknowledged as the world leader in the design and manufacture of Sliding and Folding Door Hardware for residential, commercial and industrial applications.The company is committed to quality and is registered to BS EN ISO9002:1994 Quality Systems.

Established in February 1921, the company is a member of CARDO AB, an international engineering group with their headquarters in Malmo Sweden. P.C. Henderson Ltd is based in Bowburn in North East England and has an established sales and distribution network in over 70 countries. P.C. Henderson introduced products into Australia in April 1970.

P.C. Henderson (Australia) Pty Limited was established in Sydney in August 1973 to meet the demand for locally manufactured products designed to suit Australian conditions. In the intervening years, some of the Australian designs have been adopted by P.C. Henderson Limited and sold throughout their worldwide network.

RMD Press Co. Pty Ltd acquired the business of P.C. Henderson (Australia) Pty Limited in August 1995, the business then became their Door Hardware Division called Henderson RMD.

RMD Press Co. Pty Ltd is a privately owned company founded in 1953.Today they are based at Sunshine, Victoria on a 2 hectare site. Their extensive engineering facility manufactures a diversified product range which includes Downee and Syzygy Gate and Fence Fittings in both steel and aluminium together with a vast range of associates building hardware making them the Australian market leader; first tier supply of componentry to the automotive industry; fire extinguisher containers; railway brake assemblies and satellite antenna equipment, apart from many other items.The company has in operation Quality Management Systems that comply with the requirements of Australian and International Standards AS/NZS ISO9002:1994 and the stringent International Standard QS9000.

Henderson RMD is based in Sydney and is the sole Australian agent for P.C. Henderson Limited. The association combines the latest ideas in international requirements and designs plus the local ability to analyse these trends and to design, manufacture and market quality products best suited for Australia.
